Thursford Songs of Praise 2019 – apply for tickets now

The Methodists of the Central Norfolk Circuit will be praying that last year’s ‘Beast from the East’ will give way to the ‘Best from the West this year, following the cancellation of the annual ‘Songs of Praise’ event at the Thursford Collection.

This year’s event is planned for a little later than last, being on Sunday March 24th. at 3pm. in the hopes that the Winter will be behind us.

The charity being supported this year is Action for Children, which is celebrating its’ 150th. Anniversary, and is the oldest established children’s charity in the country.

As usual, music will be provided by

  • Danny Wakefield at the console of the collection’s Wurlitzer theatre organ,
  • Fakenham Town band,
  • the specially formed choir under the directorship of Pippa Cook.

The whole event will again be interpreted into British Sign Language by the Rev. Anne Richardson from the ‘Sign the Cross’ church for the hearing impaired.
